The Path Out Of Homelessness
Starts Here And Now.

The Hero Path is a 501(c)(3) public charity that supports and empowers homeless individuals on their path to financial independence.

We are building a cashless and contactless donation platform to provide long-term savings options to the homeless community.

There are over half a million homeless people in the US.

Fewer people carry cash, and that has led to a dangerous decline in in-person donations. Spare change is dying.

The Hero Path Is Building a Cashless, Long-Term Money Management and Donations Platform for Homeless People Living in a Cashless Society.

Here's Why

Efficiency

Donate within seconds from your phone by simply scanning a QR code.

🤝🏼

Transparency

Choose exactly what your donation will be used for, and learn who you're donating to.

🏗️

Structure

Join a hero team and get updates when your group reaches new milestones.

👍🏽

Accountability

Each person in need works with a professional case worker through our partners.

🕊️

Safety

Those in need have a safe place to store their money without fear of it being stolen.

🏠

Hope

Whether someone is saving for affordable housing, job training, or health expenses, we can help guide them.

Here's how it works.

Opening an account takes minutes. It's free and no government ID or permanent address is required.

1

Partnerships

We distribute beautiful Hero Path QR-code bracelets and placards to our partner charities.
2

Sign-Up

Those in need sign-up with the help of charity volunteers, and provide basic security and personal info.
3

Personalize

Certified case workers help each person articulate their story and establish long-term savings goals.
4

All set!

Each person in need is now able to receive donations into a locked, guided savings account, while raising money for long-term needs and goals.
5

Connect

Interested donors scan the QR-code or find someone in need on our platform. Immediately, they are taken to a personalized account page.
6

Join a Hero Team

Donors can opt to show their support by joining a homeless person's Hero Team, and will receive updates when their teammates reach new milestones.
7

Results

Once a fundraising goal has been reached, case workers will work with the homeless person to make the purchase on their behalf.
8

Moving On Up

Those in need receive financial incentives for taking actions that help them out of homelessness -- from getting an ID to starting a treatment program.
9

Moving On

Once someone has reached enough personal milestones for self-care and financial stability, with the confirmation of their case worker we close their account and send them a special bracelet as a reminder of what they've overcome.
10

Mentorship

Once someone has graduated from the program and has received their new bracelet, they are eligible to become mentors in our program. They can receive financial incentives for bringing new people on board and for getting involved as advocates.

We're ready to meet you.

Why are we a part of The Hero Path?

"I founded The Hero Path because I believe in the silent heroism inherent in our daily struggles, and I believe in a better day for those mired in the crucible of suffering. I believe in the transformative potential of the human spirit - the idea that no matter who you are, no matter how marginalized or vulnerable you may be, we all have within us a calling to rise up and change our lives for the better. We just need a fighting chance, and the tools to help us get there. The Hero Path is developing the support systems to help secure that chance, for you and for all of us."
- Maxim Crispin, Founder and Executive Director

"The Hero Path affords me the opportunity to do something meaningful in my own way. I joined the Hero Path team to make a difference and spread joy in the upset world that we live in today. " - Marie Merveilleux Du Vignaux, Operations and Financial Director

"I joined the Hero Path team to be a part of meaningful change and to support the empowerment of a vulnerable population. I am excited to bring my technical perspective to our team and to support the Hero Path's mission of using technology to provide people experiencing homelessness with a path to financial independence." - Sophia Zitkus, Technical Director

"The Hero Path is important to me because throughout my struggles I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have had access to all the resources I needed, while so many cries for help fall on deaf ears. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to workshop our new donation model and provide resources to the populations in our society that are at the highest risk of being left behind."
- Neora Shifrin, Director of Advocacy and Outreach

"I want to give my compassion to every human that I can, because we all deserve to experience kindness and we all deserve to be given a chance. The Hero Path gives me the opportunity to spread my compassion, and also change lives for the better along the way." - Lo Bailey, Director of Research and Development
